Archipel has been going through a lot of changes for its 10th anniversary. With the expension of the label with new products, it was clearly a good timing to bring fresh new talent on board.
One of the good thing about working in a school is meeting passionate people which is a pretty common thing at Musitechnic. Not only the staff loves what they do, but they’re in good position to be fed off the drive students give them.
One new product soon available on the website will be sample packs for music making. Those sound will be based on themes and made by the interns. They are currently working on recording and processing sounds. A high emphasis will be put on the field recordings and ambiance, which is one recurrent aesthetic of Archipel.
Our four interns were picked carefully from a large amount of interested people. Nicolas, David and two Stephane’s are now ready to face the task of working tightly with our community to assemble a sonic pack of twisted sounds.
On the other hand, 3 nominations have been done. Our A&R Remy has been promoted to Label Manager. PH who was the curator for the podcasts is also now A&R. Since a new line of product that will be offering Max For Live patches will be under the coordination of Meriol Lehmann whos is a MAX/MSP instructor from Quebec.
